Good Ole Boys BBQ in Alexander City

OMG I know it may be a little off putting to eat at a place inside a gas station, BUT rest easy. The food here is the best we’ve had around the Lake Martin area. So when you turn by the big flag in Alex City, STOP and get some smoked wings or barbecue. You can eat in, take our, or call ahead and order it so you can swing by on the way home or on the way to the boat. I’ve eaten a lot of wings and their smoked wings put the rest to shame. This is now our go-to place to eat when we are at Lake Martin or on the way to Auburn. Yum!!

Great EVERYRIMETIME I GO. THEY GIVE PORTION FOR TWO no matter what you order. I Always what they call " Porky fries" Prices are well reasonable for size and quality. I recommend.

Great service. Very friendly and the ribs just fell off the bone. Very tender!! Very juicy and the rub they use is very tasty. Not to over powering and you can add their sauce or if course your own. AWESOME BBQ and the prices are right!!

In town for business and told best food is at the gas station. They aren’t kidding! Best most affordable BBQ I have had. The smoked wings are a must and I’ve never seen such a large baked potato in my life! I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Might have to make it there 3 days in a row!!!! The service is also the best, so refreshing these days to have nice, personable, and fast!

I usually am understanding about an order missed or things not in my order that I was charged for, but EVERY TIME? I won't return to this store. After waiting 30 minutes on an order I called in 30 minutes prior, one staff member got smart and said "Your order takes 15 minutes to cook!" to which I replied "Well you've burned the hell out of it by now!" and got my money back.

Always tasty

The pulled pork I ordered and the St. Louis- style ribs my wife ordered were both great. The meats were cooked to perfection and the taste was superb. The side items were hit and miss. But overall a delicious meal. We ate there and keep in mind it's a few tables located inside a gas station. But isn't that what makes the South so wonderful? We will be back!

This is my place of employment. One of the best places to work. I have no taste buds so I can't judge the taste. But I will say they have the most tenderist rids I have ever eaten. The wings are good too. They have good respectable people working for them. They always make you feel welcome. No matter if your a customer or an employee

Great catfish and shrimp. The green beans were a little different. Maybe vinegar. Two streetlamps in the back of the place are burnt out or turned off, so be careful at night if you go that way. Order at kitchen counter and pay at gas station counter. Sit down or to-go food.

Being from Texas, I have a pretty good idea of how barbecue should taste. Good Ol Boys surpasses my expectations.

Wish they'd initially put more sauce on their BBQ sandwiches. It's fine if I'm eating in - bottle of sauce on the tables - but with takeout, I usually have to purchase two additional sauces just so I wont choke. 😂

It's always great! My husband said his smoked wings were"off the chain!" My hamburger steak is great too! I usually enjoy their salads but I got the HB steak this time! I enjoy Good Ole Boy's BBQ! Thanks guys and gals at Good Ole Boy's!

If you drive by this place you will be sorry. This is some of the best barbecue I have ever had and makes excellent road food. One just tastes the meat and add what you want, perfect!

Great staff,good food

Came in and seeing pictures of food I was like,"oh great here we go again." I was so wrong. The big boy burger was very well seasoned and the bbq sauce is really good. Pulled pork was not dry at all. When I come back through this way. I will be stopping by this place and enjoying something new on their menu. So please don't be fooled by the pictures at all. Sweet was great as well.
